How we make our oils

Wood cold-pressed oils

The traditional wooden press, called marachekku or ghani, turns slowly so the oil never gets hot.

Clean, mature coconuts, sesame, groundnut, mustard and castor seeds from trusted farmers.

Seeds and copra are sun-dried to the right moisture, the way it has always been done.

A wooden pestle turns slowly in a wooden mortar. Low speed means low heat and more natural goodness.

The oil settles naturally for days, is filtered through cloth, then bottled and batch-numbered.

Essential oils are made differently. Most are steam distilled; citrus oils are pressed from the peel.

Rosemary, lemongrass, tulsi, eucalyptus and more, from growing regions across India and abroad.

Steam carries the aromatic oil out of leaves and flowers. Orange and lemon oils are cold-pressed from peel.

Each batch is checked by GC-MS, a lab test that shows exactly what is in the oil.
